Coarse perlite is a light, mineral substrate component that improves aeration and drainage in potting soil. It loosens the substrate, prevents compaction, and creates optimal conditions for healthy, strong roots.

Due to its porous structure, perlite stores small amounts of water and releases it slowly without promoting waterlogging. At the same time, it improves oxygen supply to the root zone, thus supporting the growth and resilience of your plants.

Coarse perlite is particularly suitable for aroids such as Monstera, Philodendron, Anthurium, and Alocasia, as well as for many other houseplants that prefer a well-draining, airy substrate. It is also an ideal addition for cacti, succulents, and plants with sensitive root systems.

Coarse perlite can be combined perfectly with pine bark, tree fern fibers, coconut chips or soil and is suitable both for individual substrate mixtures and for improving existing potting soils.
