Plantscraper's Essential Mix is a high-quality substrate blend specifically developed for aroids and other tropical houseplants. This premium mix combines an airy structure, ideal water and air absorption, and a stable consistency – thus providing a perfect base for healthy, vigorous plant growth.

The carefully selected components create a substrate that allows for both good drainage and an even moisture balance. This enables roots to breathe freely, water is optimally retained, and excess moisture is reliably wicked away – precisely what many aroids need to unfold their full splendor.

The Essential Mix is suitable for a variety of plants, including Monstera, Philodendron, Alocasia, Anthurium, or Syngonium. It can be used directly as potting soil or combined as a base for individual substrate blends with additional components such as perlite, coco chips, or tree fern fiber.
